Åsne Ø. Høgetveit is a ph.d-student at the Department of Language and Culture at University of Tromsø The Arctic University of Norway. In her project she explores the function of women in (post-)Soviet cinema, based on theories of notions of verticality as metaphors for hierarchies. Her recent publications include ‘And up She Went – The Moral Vertical in Wings’ (2017), and ‘Memory of a Soldier’ [Minnet om ein soldat] (2016).
