Valentina Gueorguieva

Valentina Gueorguieva is Assistant Professor at the Department of Cultural Studies, Sofia University ‘St. Kliment Okrhidski’. She holds a PhD in sociology from the University Laval (Quebec, Canada), and has specialized at the Center for the Studies of Social Movements at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris. Her recent publications include ‘Protection des biens communs et mobilisations réactives. Les mouvements de protestation en Bulgarie 2012-2013’, (in Gilles Rouet, Mobilisations citoyennes dans l’espace public, 2013); ‘Indymedia et le mouvement pour la démocratie directe en Bulgarie, automne 2011’, (in Ann Krasteva,E-citoyennetés, 2013); ‘Distorted representation and active citizenship.
