Ekaterina Lapina-Kratasyuk is an Associate Professor in the Department of Media at the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia and researcher in the School of Advanced Humanitarian Studies (RANEPA). She holds a PhD in Cultural Studies from Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow; a MA in Cultural Studies from the Institute for European Cultures (Russian State University for the Humanities and Ruhr-Universität Bochum). She is the co-editor (with Evgenia Nim and Oxana Moroz) of Tuning Language: Communication Management in Post-Soviet Space (2016); the co-editor (with Oxana Zaporozhets) of the forthcoming The Digital City: Urban life and Digitalization (2020), and the author of numerous papers on television, cinema, new media and transmedia storytelling.
